How it works

How JourneeHub brings clarity to every step of the employee journey

JourneeHub is an employee onboarding platform and company intranet built around one idea: every employee should know how work gets done, who owns it and what to do next, from their first day through every change.

The JourneeHub model: knowledge, context, ownership, action

The JourneeHub model is a four-step path from a question to a confident next step. A typical knowledge base stops at step one. JourneeHub is designed to carry the employee through all four.

  1. Knowledge: "What's the process or policy?"

    What JourneeHub gives them
Policies, SOPs and pages in one searchable workspace
    Example (demo company)
The Refund Policy and the "Issue a refund" SOP
  2. Context: "Does this apply to me, right now?"

    What JourneeHub gives them
Job descriptions, departments and learning paths that show what fits each role
    Example (demo company)
The Customer Support Specialist role page lists the refund SOP
  3. Ownership: "Who owns this, and who can help?"

    What JourneeHub gives them
Named owners, the people directory and department coverage
    Example (demo company)
The SOP owner is the Support Lead; the backup is listed on the department page
  4. Action: "What do I do next?"

    What JourneeHub gives them
Acknowledgements, assigned lessons, quizzes and reminders
    Example (demo company)
Acknowledge the updated policy, then finish a three-question quiz
A knowledge base answers "Where is the policy?" JourneeHub answers "Here's the policy, here's how it applies to your role, here's who owns it, and here's what to do next."

Where JourneeHub helps across the employee lifecycle

JourneeHub follows the employee lifecycle defined in Blend Me's TREE framework: Attract, Hire, Onboard, Engage, Perform, Develop and Depart, with Trust and Responsibility running across every stage. JourneeHub focuses on the stages where clarity matters most: onboarding, everyday work and change.

The TREE employee lifecycle. Attract and Hire are handled by your hiring tools. Onboard, Engage and Perform are JourneeHub's focus stages. Develop and Depart are supportive stages. Trust and Responsibility run across every stage.
Attract and HireHandled by your hiring tools

Before day one: where your hiring tools take the lead

JourneeHub isn't a recruiting or applicant-tracking system. What it does offer at this stage is the job description itself: a clear, current description of each role that your team can reference when hiring.

OnboardFocus stage

Onboard: how to onboard new employees faster

New hires get up to speed faster when they have one place to start, a clear order to follow and a named person for every question. In JourneeHub, that looks like this:

  1. Assign a learning path that starts on the new hire's first day.
  2. Mix the essentials: welcome lessons, the SOPs for their role, policy sign-offs and short quizzes.
  3. Show them their role: their job description links to the SOPs and training that matter for their job.
  4. Show them their people: the directory and their department page show who does what and who to ask.
  5. Track progress: the new hire and their manager both see one line, such as "8 of 12 lessons completed".

TREE asks a simple onboarding question: does the new hire know what good work looks like, and whom to ask? JourneeHub is built to make both answers easy to find.

EngageFocus stage

Engage: everyday answers without asking around

After onboarding, JourneeHub becomes the place people go when they're unsure. They search across policies, SOPs, people and roles from one box, see what's new in announcements, and find the owner of anything they're reading.

PerformFocus stage

Perform: how work gets done, done the same way

Step-by-step SOPs, journey maps that show handoffs between teams, and job descriptions with clear responsibilities help people do the work consistently. Owners and review dates keep it current.

DevelopSupportive stage

Develop: new roles, new skills, new processes

When someone moves into a new role, their new job description shows its responsibilities, SOPs and learning paths. Recurring training, such as a yearly refresher, keeps skills current.

DepartSupportive stage

Depart: keep knowledge when people move on

When someone leaves, what they knew shouldn't leave with them. Written SOPs, named owners and visible backup coverage make it easier to hand responsibilities to the next person.

Trust and Responsibility, built into the workspace

In Blend Me's TREE framework, Trust and Responsibility are the two principles that run across the whole employee lifecycle. JourneeHub turns them into things you can see.

  • Trust: people can believe what they find.

Official content has an owner, a review date and a version history. Policies and SOPs need approval before publishing by default.

  • Responsibility: expectations are written, not guessed.

Job descriptions spell out responsibilities and reporting lines. Department pages show who oversees, who backs up and who supports.

How JourneeHub helps a change take hold

Change only creates value when people change how they work. Blend Me's change-management practice is built on that idea, and JourneeHub gives you the tools to act on it.

Rolling out a change is the start. Adoption is when people understand it and work the new way.

Here's how a policy change moves through JourneeHub:

  1. Update the policy. Edit it, get it approved, and publish the new version. The previous version stays in the history.
  2. Announce it. Pin an announcement explaining what changed and why.
  3. Ask for sign-off. Ask for a new acknowledgement of the updated version.
  4. Teach it. Add the updated policy or SOP to a learning path, with a short quiz if understanding matters.
  5. Follow up. Reminders nudge people with outstanding items, and admins can see who hasn't acknowledged yet.

Getting started with JourneeHub

Getting started takes three steps.

  1. Set up your workspace.

Add your name and logo, and invite your team or import them from a spreadsheet.

  2. Add what matters most first.

Start with the policies, SOPs and roles new hires ask about most. Paste in existing text to create drafts.

  3. Launch with your managers.

Assign onboarding paths, ask for policy sign-offs and point people to one place for answers.

[CONFIRM: a typical setup timeframe if one can be stated honestly. Do not add a number without evidence.]

[CONFIRM: whether Blend Me rollout support is offered; if yes, add one line: "Want help? Blend Me can help you plan and launch."]

Questions about how JourneeHub works

The employee journey is every stage a person goes through with a company, from being attracted and hired to onboarding, everyday work, growth and eventually leaving. Blend Me's TREE framework names these stages Attract, Hire, Onboard, Engage, Perform, Develop and Depart.

Give new hires one place to start, a clear order to follow and a named person for every question. In JourneeHub, you assign a learning path that begins on day one and includes role-specific SOPs, policy sign-offs and short quizzes, and managers can see progress at a glance.

No. JourneeHub doesn't handle hiring, payroll, benefits or HR records. It sits alongside your HR system as the place employees go to understand how work gets done.

TREE is Blend Me's employee-experience framework. It follows the employee lifecycle from Attract through Depart, with Trust and Responsibility as principles across every stage. Blend Me has refined it around remote and hybrid work since 2013.

You publish the new version, and the previous one stays in the history. You can announce the change, ask people to acknowledge the new version, add it to training and see who still needs to sign off.

See the journey with your own team in mind.

We'll show you how a new hire, a role change and a policy update would look in your JourneeHub workspace.
